Action participants will go out in pairs for doorknocking and/or street outreach to invite DC residents to support racial justice. A training and brief practice at the beginning will support participants to engage people through conversation and curiosity, share our experiences, and offer several opportunities for action. We'll invite people to make a phone call asking Prosecutor McGinty to step aside, participate in racial justice actions in DC, and join local campaigns. We will also gather feedback at the end of the action, and finish with gathering at a neighborhood location for a moment of silence and reflection on a #YearWithoutTamir.
Participants may join us for the whole event, or for the moment of silence and reflection at 3:30. Sign up here or click here for SURJ-DC's signup. If you can't make the event on Nov. 22nd but are interested in future events, please go to our signup and let us know!
